Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Burbank, California. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial management and team leadership. As part of our finance team, you will oversee critical accounting operations while contributing to the company's strategic growth and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: - Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliations in compliance with reporting deadlines. - Manage working capital to support sustainable company growth and financial stability. - Provide actionable insights to support teams across operations, supply chain, and commercial functions. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries. - Collaborate with the cost accountant and financial controller to deliver data for ad-hoc projects and initiatives. - Act as a key stakeholder in the maintenance and optimization of the JD Edwards system. - Participate in planning activities such as annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and financial uploads. - Lead and mentor team members, fostering skill development and cross-training opportunities. - Simplify and document processes to ensure efficient workflows and maintain robust internal controls. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. - At least ten years of accounting or finance experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory role. - Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance standards. - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams. - Proven ability to improve and streamline financial processes. - Familiarity with JD Edwards systems as it relates to accounting. - Experience in manufacturing environments and month-end close processes. - Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
