Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered or registry eligible as a cardiac sonographer.
• Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or High School Graduate / GED
• One year or more experience as a Echo Technologist is preferred. A working knowledge of the echo equipment is necessary. Additional on the job training will be conducted. Supervisory experience preferred.
