We are immediately hiring for a Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician here in the Columbus, Ohio area!

This role will primarily be performing non-sterile compounding and we are looking for candidates who are both Certified and have some compounding experience (can be sterile or non-sterile compounding).

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician to mix pharmaceutical preparations utilizing proper compounding techniques while adhering to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.

Responsibilities

• Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.
• Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices for safe drug preparation.
• Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities required by federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797 standards.
• Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking.
• Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for patient profiles.
• Clean the ante-room and cleanroom areas following USP-797 standards.
• Maintain cleanroom logs and verify lot numbers, periodically checking inventory accuracy.
• Provide availability for assisting with on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Successfully complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.
• Uphold confidentiality concerning proprietary company information and patient/client care, complying with federal and state confidentiality laws and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must be Certified as a Pharmacy Technician (Cpht)
• Must have some compounding experience (can be sterile or non-sterile).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
