Description The Content and Community Engagement Specialist is a multi-faceted position responsible for the implementation of the organization's content strategy, as well as relationship management. Reporting to the Manager of Content and Learning Design, this role combines expertise in communications, copywriting, community engagement, and partnership management. Through thoughtful content creation, this position will help AIDPH to inform, inspire, and engage the community. Simultaneously, by nurturing genuine and collaborative relationships, this position will forge pathways that uphold and further AIDPH's core values, ensuring a lasting impact in the communities it serves. This is a remote position. Responsibilities - Write and edit a range of content types, ensuring consistency in voice and brand messaging.
- Craft compelling website copy, including landing pages, program descriptions, and any other required site content.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Content and Learning Design to develop and maintain a dynamic content calendar, integrating partner events, campaigns, and feedback to inform content creation.
- Schedule, post, and manage content across social media platforms, ensuring timeliness, relevance, and alignment with AIDPH's overarching content strategy.
- Engage actively and constructively with community members across social media channels, responding to comments, questions, and feedback to foster a positive and interactive online presence.
- Design, draft, and distribute AIDPH's monthly newsletter and other email campaigns, segmenting lists as appropriate to ensure tailored messaging.
- Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with community members, partners, donors, and other stakeholders by facilitating open communication, addressing concerns, and driving mutual success.
- Identify, establish, and nourish relationships with corporate leaders, event sponsors, donors, and other partners to ensure alignment between partnership objectives and content direction.
- Analyze and report feedback from content campaigns and partnership interactions, deriving actionable insights and highlighting community sentiments.
- Other responsibilities as defined by the Director of Communications and the Manager of Content and Learning Design.
Key Skills Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in community engagement, partnership management, or customer service.
- Proficient knowledge of content management systems, analytics tools, and mainstream social media platforms.
- Conversant in multiple communications applications and platforms, (e.g., Canva, MailChimp, Hootsuite).
- Experience in working with project management platforms, ideally monday.com.
Physical Considerations:
- The candidate must be able to communicate effectively.
- Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out these position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
