Customer Experience Specialist

As the Customer Experience Specialist at A Shop of Things, your role is to provide support to our online customers for both of our ecommerce businesses. In this role, you are the voice of our business and are responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


The ideal candidate for this role will be self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail, an advanced ability to provide high quality customer service, and an innate ability to problem-solve in the moment.


Responsibilities include:
  • Checking and responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Keeping in communication with cross-functional teams about product issues
  • Daily communication with our fulfillment center to maintain order queue
  • Analyzing potentially fraudulent orders
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Maintaining the site's FAQ and keeping procedural documentation up to date
  • Collecting and analyzing data from customers in order to improve our processes, procedures and products
Skills required:
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain processes and systems to increase efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and to meet goals efficiently.
  • Capacity to use critical thinking to identify and resolve problems independently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in Shopify is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to make informed decisions to resolve conflict and increase productivity and profitability.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers.
  • A polite, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
  • An understanding of our products and catalog
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Reliable internet and transportation
  • A minimum 1 year of e-commerce customer service experience
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must already have a computer
  • Must live in the state of TN

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
