Insight Global is seeking candidates for their partner's "Electrical Distribution Designer" opportunity:
Location: Austin – remote after month one – 3-4 days a week onsite during month one.
Eligible for full time benefits and paid out weekly while on contract.
Job Description:
This person will be responsible for conducting analyses to develop electrical design options or recommendations, and to assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.
• Overhead and underground distribution line design, preparation of cost estimates, specifications, staking sheets, construction units review and development
• Assist with distribution planning, distribution modeling, distribution coordination, or distribution line design tasks as required.
• Complete written reports and routine engineering assignments requiring application of industry standard techniques and procedures.
• May work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, NOT needed
• Experienced with PLS-CADD power line design software
Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Electric utility experience
• Knowledge of Electrical Distribution
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills
