Lamoille Union High School is dedicated to providing a clean and safe environment for students and staff. We are currently looking for two custodians to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development. As a custodian at Lamoille Union High School, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the building. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will ensure a welcoming environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate will be self-reliant, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties: - Perform industrial cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards - Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, and common areas - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors - Dust and sanitize surfaces - Clean windows and glass surfaces - Operate buffing machines to maintain floor appearance - Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as necessary - Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager Skills - Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required - Ability to follow instructions and work independently or collaboratively with a team - Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors Please note that this job description outlines primary responsibilities and qualifications.
