Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr As an Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing import shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, and maintaining excellent communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of international logistics, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of air and ocean import shipments, including booking, documentation, and cargo tracking. Review and process import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, and clients to ensure timely shipment status updates and problem resolution. Work with U.S. Customs brokers to ensure proper entry filing and regulatory compliance. Manage delivery scheduling, arrange inland transportation, and confirm final delivery with customers. Maintain shipment files and data entry in the company’s TMS (transport management system). Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and proactively addressing issues. Support the operations team in improving processes and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in import freight forwarding (air and ocean). Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import documentation, and Incoterms. Experience coordinating with carriers, customs brokers, and drayage/trucking providers. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with freight forwarding/TMS software preferred. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
