As a Tax Preparer at Liberty Tax your responsibilities will include preparing client taxes, responding to tax related questions, and maintaining preparer-client relationships . All duties shall be completed in alignment with the company’s values and objectives while remaining sensitive to client requirements and experience. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional client service, possess strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of income tax processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and efficiency are undeniable strengths.

Core role responsibilities:

• Providing first rate customer service 

• Conducting tax interviews with clients and preparing tax returns

• Advising clients on the best procedures for a client’s chosen service while acknowledging the benefits and circumstances of each service offered 

• Accurately inputting all client information into the tax preparation system while 

maintaining attention to detail - obtaining all required information and documentation 

• Completing all applicable documentation in a variety of business offerings

• Strictly maintaining client confidentiality and privacy

• Ensuring intercommunication with the entire Liberty Team

• Maintaining professional liaison with the Canada Revenue Agency 

• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Prior tax preparation experience, previous accounting knowledge is advantageous

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

• Comfortable working with computers 

• Friendly and professional
