Legal Practice Assistant
National Law Firm – Hackensack, NJ
Full-time | On-site
The role:
Provide high-level administrative and document support to attorneys across multiple practice groups—including Litigation, Real Estate, Corporate, and Bankruptcy—in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Prepare, revise, and proof correspondence, pleadings, and transactional documents
• Manage attorney calendars, travel, and deadline tracking
• Open and maintain electronic and physical matter files (iManage or similar)
• Enter attorney time and assist with monthly billing edits
• Communicate with clients, courts, and vendors to obtain or relay information
Required qualifications:
• 3+ years of law-firm legal secretarial or practice-assistant experience
• Advanced MS Office proficiency; familiarity with legal time-entry software
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor
