Brief Description:

Customer Care is a key part of our company culture and we strive to exceed our customers’ needs both before and after their purchase.
We are looking for a self-reliant customer support professional to join our team, help customers match their needs with our products, and support them with any warranty or post-purchase questions.

Full-Time (30 hours per week), hourly, non-exempt, benefited position located in Santa Rosa, CA., Monday - Friday Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm PST.

• Assist with all aspects of direct sales, customer service & warranty needs
• Take and process sales orders from inbound emails, live chat, and phone calls
• Assist with warranty and product repair issues
• Needs to have a solid knowledge of and passion for photography
• Needs to have solid experience in sales and customer service and data entry

This position will support our end-use customers and prospective customers.

The ideal candidate has good technical, administrative, and analytical skills, a solid photography background, a passion for sales, and wants to work in a dynamic and creative small-company environment. A typical workday will be spent mainly at a desk using email, answering sales and customer service phone calls while multitasking on our live chat client.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide product and photography advice to current and prospective customers
• Respond to consumer inquiries regarding product usage, warranty issues, order status & shipping status
• Assist with all aspects of e-commerce sales for new and returning customers via e-mail, phone, and Live Chat
• Process and record returns/exchanges/repairs/warranties
• Learn high level of product knowledge
• Assist with physical mailings, product information, promotional items, etc.
• Assist with shipping needs from the Santa Rosa office
• Process weekly shipments of small parts to domestic and international customers
• Create instructional documents as necessary for customers

Required Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential
• Experience utilizing Zendesk or simualr and Live Chat Software
• Strong verbal, grammar, math, and writing skills
• Exceptional phone and email communication skills
• Knowledge of current photography equipment used by professionals
• Strong computer skills
• The ability to exercise independent judgment while conforming to company standards
• Must be able to collaborate with other members of the customer service and sales teams
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm
• Basic mechanical skills with hand tools and simple power tools for product repairs
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and can work at a desk for extended periods of time
• Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent

Additional Skills That Would be a Plus:

• Experience with management of e-commerce platform
• Experience traveling with photographic equipment is preferred
• Minimum two years of work experience in a retail sales photography environment or equivalent in the photo industry
