Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to update and maintain operational tools for the customer as part of our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting theIntegrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.

Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The work is full-time in the office. The qualified candidate must have and be able to maintain a DoD clearance.

The successful candidate will have Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, and adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, and to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer.

The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.

This position can be filled from one of our locations in Morrisville, North Carolina, Fairfax, Virginia, or Linthicum, Maryland . ( compensation varies within range depending on location )

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4, depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI at the time of application and willing to sit for a polygraph.
• Level 3 (Principal) BS + 5 years of exp; MS + 3 years of exp; PHD + 0 years of exp. Or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Level 4 (Sr Principal) BS + 8 years of exp; MS + 6 years of exp; PHD + 3 years of exp. Or 12 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience developing on team s using Agile methodology, process, and tools
• Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting in Java and SpringBoot
• Experience with Model-View-Controller framework's such as a SpringMVC
• Experience with Identity and access management such as KeyCloak
• Experience with MySQL databases
• Experience with Linux environment
• Working with a geographically distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

• STEM degree
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
