Job Details

Job Purpose

This Private Events Sale Director is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating all aspects of private event and meeting functions held at the property. Working closely with the event sales team, the Private Events Sale Director creates and implements strategies to meet sales targets, maximize profitability and create memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships
  • Sell and market to external markets that may encompass corporate events/meetings/trainings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and personal milestone events; other may include holiday parties, celebrations of life, school athletic banquets, and fundraisers
  • Be an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals & corporations who book events to maintain repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new events.
  • Heighten awareness externally within the community from the club to bridal shows and other public events
  • Generate a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals which meet and exceed sales goals and budgets

Additional Information

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of how to use social media to drive sales is required including TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc.
  • Must have a positive, engaging, and team-oriented view on the workplace
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM
  • Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to work with little or no direct supervision
  • Excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction required
  • Strong leadership and people skills, plus the ability to build and foster a team environment desired
  • Valid driver’s license required

Education

  • College degree preferred or 3 years of related experience in sales preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
