As a Security Professional - DoD Cleared Desk in Linthicum Heights, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a prominent aerospace and defense location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to all visitors and employees. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and professional demeanor, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access control at the front desk, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities at the front desk, including alerting appropriate personnel and following emergency protocols.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
