Job Description

PROTECT3D is a leading provider of 3D-printed braces, casts, orthotics, supports, and related products. At the forefront of 3D technology, PROTECT3D enables medical professionals to order these patient-specific products by taking a 3D scan of patient anatomy with a smartphone. The company then digitally designs, 3D prints, and delivers each product to the customer anywhere in the country in as little as 48 hours.

As we scale, operational excellence is critical. We are a fast-paced startup driven by a passion for leveraging technology to genuinely improve people's lives. Our small, dedicated team is committed to changing the status quo in this industry by making our custom-fabricated products accessible to all who can benefit from them.

As a Software Engineer on our team, you will be primarily responsible for improving our existing frontend applications: an internal web dashboard (React) used by our team members for daily operations and an external iOS app (Swift) used by our customers to order products. Your distribution between these two will depend on your skillset and experience. Beyond this, you will help deliver technical solutions to other miscellaneous problems that present barriers to scale for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of core business functions to inform development approach
  • Develop quality code for internal web dashboard (React) and/or external iOS app (Swift)
  • Analyze performance of existing applications and maintain state of functioning
  • Discover and fix bugs across codebases
  • Design highly scalable, testable code
  • Bring technical skills to other various business challenges to increase efficiency and scalability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
  • Development experience with React and/or Swift
  • SQL database or relational database skills
  • Strong communication skills, particularly when communicating technical content to less technical team members
  • Prior experience in tight-nit, high stakes environment is preferred
