About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Training Assistant to support the development of high-impact training materials. This role will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and producing training videos in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy. In addition, this role will manage the translation of official training documents, converting content into clear, accessible language for a multilingual workforce. A secondary responsibility will be assisting with the maintenance and updating of training records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Training Video Production

  • Collaborate with SMEs and trainers to plan and storyboard training content.
  • Independently film and edit video training modules for technical and procedural topics.
  • Apply brand standards, accessibility principles, and industry best practices to all video content.
  • Ensure videos are accurate, professional, and suitable for diverse learning environments.

Document Translation & Content Support

  • Translate official documents (e.g., SOPs, job aids, training manuals) into English and/or from English into other target languages, as applicable.
  • Work with technical stakeholders to ensure translated content reflects correct terminology and intent.
  • Format translated documents for clarity, usability, and compliance.

Training Records Maintenance

  • Assist in updating and maintaining accurate training records in both digital systems and physical formats, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards. Support compliance audits by ensuring documentation is complete, current, and traceable.
  • May assist with tracking video completion metrics or LMS data entry, as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience in video production, including camera operation, lighting, audio, and post-production editing.
  • Strong proficiency in video editing software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on technical content.
  • Experience working with or interviewing technical personnel or subject matter experts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a training or educational role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in education, human resources, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with training software or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
