Job Description
Truck Dispatch Supervisor supervises the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner . Tracks deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions.
The Dispatch Supervisor ensure the department maintains effective daily communication with drivers, to continually monitor service making proactive adjustments to maximize on time performance and productivity and demonstrate effective use of the dispatch routing software.
The dispatch supervisor position is responsible for on-time delivery of service and monthly reporting . This person manages dispatchers and handles the associated supervisory duties. This is a hands- on position that both supervises and dispatches.
