Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to provide remote interpreting services for K12 students in Oklahoma. You will facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff to ensure full access to educational instruction and participation.
What Youll Do:
Provide virtual interpreting services for students across K12 settings
Facilitate clear communication between students, educators, and families
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student learning and accessibility
Participate in meetings as needed to provide interpreting services
Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district regulations
What You Bring:
Current Oklahoma certification as an Educational Interpreter, EIPA score meeting state requirements, or RID/NIC certification
Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
Strong ASL skills and ability to adapt to different student communication needs
Comfort using virtual platforms and remote technology
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Reliable internet connection and professional remote workspace
