Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Welder (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $24/hr + $1/hr shift differential per hour.

What you'll do: The welder will work as part of a manufacturing team to ensure daily goals and objectives are achieved in the welding department.
\n - MIG(Metal Inert Gas) and TIG(Tungsten Inert Gas) welding
\n - Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
\n - Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas
\n - Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties as required
\n - Be responsible to deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on work surface. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion
\n - Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding
\n - Complete necessary preparation steps such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components
\n - Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation/record keeping may be required
\n - Operate spot welders, arc welders, cutting torch, power grinder, power sanders, hand-tools, bandsaws, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs and fixtures, and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed.
\n - Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems
\n - Be responsible for maintenance of equipment such as welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary.
\n - Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems
\n - Perform other duties as required including flexing to other departments.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: \n - Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
\n - Minimum of one (1) year of MIG and TIG welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution
\n - No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications: \n - Experience demonstrating proficiency of welding techniques, shop blueprint/drawing comprehension, and shop math skills
\n - Minimum of two (2) years of welding experience
\n

Skills: Position Criteria: \n - Possess strong oral and written communication skills
\n - Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings
\n - Able to move material as needed using material handling carts (push/pull 50lbs)
\n - Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
\n - Team player and able to collaborate with others to effectively complete work assignments per customer orders
\n - Willingness to participate in training opportunities
