Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in the area of West Covina, CA, and who want to work with high school students!


Soliant is working with a small school district in the area, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist this school year to work with high school students.



Primary responsibilities as follows:

• Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders, or who need support with social skills and pragmatics
• Provide support for students who are consult-only
• Serve as case manager for speech-only students
• Understand students' IEP goals, and propose a therapy plan to support those goals
• Develop treatment plansand present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
• Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
• Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
• Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
• Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
• Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.

• Up-to-date knowledge of CaliforniaSpecial Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
• Professionalism and accountability

Requirements:

• California SLP license
