Associate Merchandiser - eCommerce

G-III Apparel Group New York City Metropolitan Area (On-site)

The Associate Merchandiser for ecommerce will support the digital product commerce strategy. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, while being hands on and detail oriented when analyzing and driving the businesses. The individual will have experience generating significant growth for ecommerce businesses, delivering a best-in-class and engaging customer experience, and using analytics to evaluate and drive strategic initiatives.

Reporting to: eCommerce Merchandising Manager

Brand/Product Focus: eCommerce

Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District

Responsibilities:

  • Manage timing and execution of all product launches on site – includes product set-up, navigation, onsite search, PLP and PDP.
  • Manage communication with photo studio, wholesale, buying and marketing teams.
  • Partner with marketing, CRM, planning, IT and buying teams to build eCommerce product strategy, establish sales plans and align with overall company strategy and financial goals.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Manage product assortment and placement across the website to optimize sales and customer engagement.
  • Partner with wholesale division on ecommerce assortment expansion and dropship strategy.
  • Partner with marketing and buying to develop and execute the seasonal content strategy and achieve a best-in-class site customer experience.
  • Partner closely with marketing teams to align key initiatives and messaging to build brand equity through site experience.
  • Report and monitor performance of category/product performances, campaigns, and new features.
  • Utilize Google Analytics, operational system reporting and other reporting tools to identify and action on customer trends and consumer reaction to sites. Use data to inform business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2+ years of eCommerce experience
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end e-commerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce content management systems – Shopify Plus experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work quickly, efficiently, and strategically across internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, and grow teams. Able to manage up, down and across with results
  • Proficient in M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Extreme attention to detail, excellent follow-through skills and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment

The pay range for this position is: $28.85 per hour/$60,000 per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)- $33.65 per hour/$70,000 per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)
