This position will be a hybrid role, with 2-3 days on-site in Madhive's Mountain View, California office.
What you’ll do:
The Data Analyst Intern will be a part of Madhive’s Go-to-Market Strategy department, and will assist in developing data-driven strategic business initiatives. They will help create data dashboards, spreadsheet tools and analyses, and slideshow presentations. The ideal candidate is business-minded, highly analytical, an effective writer and communicator, and committed to producing high quality work. This role will require foundational SQL skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data.
The intern will gain valuable experience in ad tech, while working in support of our clients, many of whom are well known media companies. There will be exposure to various data environments (especially Google BigQuery) and BI tools (Looker Studio). This role will be providing analytical support to Sales and Client Success teams.
Our team is tasked with answering complex business questions through the analysis of various datasets, and communicating our findings concisely and effectively to stakeholders. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be able to display strong critical thinking, technical, and communication skills. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the advertising technology industry and make valuable connections in the field.
Who you are:
Must currently be pursuing or recently graduated with a BA/BS degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or other STEM major. Graduate Students will also be considered.
Must be proficient in Google Sheets and Google Slides
Experience with SQL and cloud-based relational databases strongly preferred, must be willing to learn
Able to break down ambiguous and complex business problems into simple, clear parts, using data to guide decisions for each step
Strong communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Familiar with GenAI tools to complete work more efficiently, without compromising on quality
Detail-oriented and has a high standard for the quality of their work
Creative and innovative mindset to approaching challenges and developing new ideas
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and requirements
Able to present themselves comfortably on video conference calls
Experience and interest in advertising technology and digital marketing preferred
