As a Thermal Design Engineer at Ubiquiti, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our product's thermal designs. Your primary focus will be on validating and optimizing thermal design performance while working closely with the cross function teams. In this role, you will develop and execute test plans and strategies efficiently, perform data analysis, generate comprehensive test reports, and measure, simulate, and analyze hardware thermal performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for validating and optimizing thermal designs to ensure products meet high standards of efficiency, reliability, and performance under varying operational conditions. Collaborate closely with the cross function teams (EE, FW, SW) to verify power scenarios, validate thermal mitigation mechanisms, and evaluate the risk. Perform in-depth performance and thermal testing and analysis across various IC platforms, focusing on validating thermal parameters to ensure the accuracy and reliability of thermal simulations. Requirements Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of thermal management principles, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics. Extensive experience on thermal experiment design and setup. Experience with thermal simulation tools such as FloTHERM XT, or similar. At least 3yr+ experience as thermal engineer (design & validation) Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles. Authentic curiosity paired with a strong sense of design responsibility. Nice to have Familiar with hardware and software integration for thermal management solutions. Familiar with mechanical design and building mockups, including experience with prototyping and evaluating physical models for thermal performance.
