Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic position for Children's Specialized Hospital, Mountainside. This is a Full-Time, Day position.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School graduate and on-the-job or formal training equivalent to a related program in an accredited vocational school.
• 3-5 years experience; must be directly related to the general maintenance field preferable within a large healthcare facility or a commercial institution.
• Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver s License.

• Days
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Performs general maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment facility in a technically approved, safe and efficient manner.
• Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc
• Performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the Medical Center complex.
• Occasionally assists tradesmen and other workmen in completing tasks. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
• Assists in removing snow from facility's grounds and maintains grounds as required.
