As a Security Officer - DoD Secret Desk in Elkridge, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by managing visitor logs, responding to inquiries, and communicating important information to the appropriate personnel. This position requires driving as part of the post responsibilities. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 06:00 AMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including communication with appropriate personnel and/or first responders.
• Support a professional environment by helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior at the front desk area.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
